Law Squared welcomes new team members

Law Squared has finished 2021 on a high after the innovative NewLaw firm welcomed seven new members to the team.

Natalie Markovski and Olivia Dalton join the Disputes + Litigation team, while Alex Gaggin and Grace Beaumont join the Commercial team. Nam Truong (Digital + Innovation), Hayley Conway (People + Partnerships) and Danielle Mercieca (Office Administration) each join the Operations team, in what has been a huge year of growth at the disruptive firm after the addition of six new recruits in the first half of the year.

Law Squared Director, Demetrio Zema, is thrilled to have welcomed such talented individuals to the firm.

“2021 has been a huge year of growth for us at Law Squared, so it was important that we continued to invest in our people and our culture to ensure that we are attracting and recruiting the right talent to continue to help us grow and develop as a firm,” Demetrio said.

“The addition of Natalie, Olivia, Alex, Grace, Nam, Hayley and Danielle to the team has given everyone a real boost, particularly during lockdown when we found ourselves going through the motions. They are all exceptional professionals in their particular areas, and more importantly, they are all great people which is something that we place a huge emphasis on when recruiting people to the firm.”

The addition of these seven new starters brings the overall size of the firm to 30, a significant increase considering the disruption that COVID has played in law firms over the last two years.

“We are extremely proud to say that throughout the entire pandemic, we never had to stand anyone down or cut down anyone’s hours at any stage. In fact, we have continued to have a need to recruit individuals for both legal and operational roles in the firm, which shows that our clients continued to back us during a time where many businesses were looking at ways to outsource areas of their business,” said Demetrio.

As well as the recruitment of new team members, Law Squared has also opened it’s own spaces in both Melbourne and Brisbane for the very first time, something that the firm is extremely proud of.

“Our new spaces will allow us to continue to build and develop the firm in line with our strategic plan, it will also assist us in working towards our business of concept of building deep and meaningful relationships with our clients, and it will also give us the opportunity to entice high-quality talent into the firm who are excited to work in such a vibrant and creative space,” Demetrio said.

The search for talented individuals is not yet over, with Law Squared still actively recruiting for a number of roles across Australia. Law Squared are welcoming applications from those who are passionate about challenging the status quo of traditional law firm models, and who are willing to immerse themselves in their innovative NewLaw model.
