Law Squared opens new Melbourne headquarters
Leading NewLaw firm Law Squared, has taken the next step in its evolution as a growing business by officially opening the doors to their new Melbourne headquarters.
The firm which boasts a team of 35 across their Melbourne, Syndey and Brisbane offices, and who have the ambition to double the size of that team within the next three years, is thrilled to have created a space that will enable them to establish themselves shoulder-to-shoulder with other leading professional service firms across the country.
Law Squared Founder and Director, Demetrio Zema, is delighted to see the space come to life after five years of working in various co-working spaces across Melbourne including WeWork, the Cluster and Gravity Co-Working.
“We came together (virtually) as a team in May of last year, and we spoke about a couple of different options as to what Law Squared would look like off the back of the COVID pandemic, and it was unanimously decided that we would progress with creating our own space, so it’s fantastic to see our dreams come to life in this new space,” said Demetrio.
With the substantial growth within the firm over the past 18 months including the arrival of close to 20 new team members, and also the acquisition of leading enterprise and corporate clients to the firm, it was important that Law Squared created a space that would continue to entice top talent to join the firm and also reflect the evolution of the Law Squared brand.
“People are our biggest asset and the investment we made into our new office is a reflection on the value we place on our team and our pledge to being a workplace of choice. The space encourages connectivity between all three of our offices and truly equips us to succeed into the future,” said Law Squared Chief Operating Officer, Trent Milvain.
The new space has been specifically designed for a combination of focus work, connectivity and collaboration, something that sits at the heart of Law Squared’s non-hierarchical cluster model.
The project was completed by Made For, a progressive full-service design, architectural, interiors and project management studio based in Melbourne.
Creative Director at Made For, Mitch Jones, is excited to see the space come to life.
“The office focuses on responding to the core needs of a day in the life of a Law Squared employee, a true combination of high focus work (true to the traditional craft of the industry), but interweaves highly collaborative spaces for client workshopping and both large and intimate social spaces to encourage all the varying units of the business to interact and foster culture,” Mitch said.
With the doors officially open, the entire Law Squared team is excited by the opportunity that the new space presents them with moving forward.
“We are extremely proud of the work that we have put in over the last five years to get Law Squared to where we are today, and we are even more excited at the prospect of what the next five years has in store for our team, clients and community,” said Demetrio.
