This week, you get to meet Amogh Kadhe, one of our Graduate Lawyers at the firm.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
Hi, I’m Amogh and I am one of the Graduate Lawyers at Law Squared.
I joined the firm at the start of 2023 and will be completing my rotations in the firm’s Operations, Corporate + Commercial, and Disputes + Litigation teams.
Outside of work, you will find me perusing through my recently purchased books (fiction/historical fiction, or mystery are my top genres), hanging out with my mates, and occasionally hosting my own Podcast - ChatterMattrs!
Tell us about your career journey so far and what led you to Law Squared
I would describe my career journey thus far as being fairly diverse. I knew quite early on that I wanted to pursue a career in the law, but what that looked like and how I was going to get there was not always as clear.
Prior to starting law school, I completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree in Canada and was working as an Office Administrator for a local law firm. As part of my job, I managed the firm’s day-to-day operations and provided ad-hoc support to the lawyers and paralegals.
Fast forward to law school, I knew that I wanted to get as much experience as possible and therefore, decided to do something new every year. In my first year, I volunteered for a Victorian charity as a paralegal, where I got some exposure to residential real estate matters (specifically matters concerning renters in Victoria). In my second year, I worked for a Criminal law firm, where I was able to see the ‘ins-and-outs’ of practicing criminal law. Finally, in my third year I worked for an emerging technology firm, where I learned about topics such as digital assets, cryptocurrency, and smart legal contracts.
Upon completion of my Juris Doctor degree, I was applying for Law Graduate roles and that’s when I came across Law Squared. Law Squared’s human centred approach to providing legal services is what really appealed to me. After sending in my application and going through the interview process, I was extremely happy when I was selected to be one of the firm’s inaugural graduates.
Amogh joined Law Squared’s graduate program in January 2023.
Tell us about the Law Squared difference. What makes Law Squared standout from the traditional law firms around the country and the world?
Law Squared stands out in comparison to traditional law firms in many ways. Some of the most obvious reasons are: the flat structure adopted by the firm (which means no titles!), no billable hour time requirements, and our human centred approach to legal problem solving.
However, even internally within the firm, the people are what make Law Squared different to others. Despite being at the firm for only a short time, I can already see that the entire team embodies the culture of the firm. Everyone is genuine, humble, and always ready to help. Even within the Law Graduate team, I have never felt as though I had to ‘compete’ with the other grads. We help each other and take pride in each other’s growth.
By having a decentralised model internally and focusing on client outcomes through a human centred approach, Law Squared is paving the way forward in how legal services ought to be provided.

Outside of work, you will find me exploring Melbourne’s coffee scene, binging some of the newest shows on Netflix, hanging out with my mates, and hosting my own podcast, the ChatterMatters Podcast.
