Before joining Law Squared, Gerard was admitted into practice in 2016 and worked at a boutique law firm in Melbourne, practicing almost exclusively in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He has acted for clients in a diverse range of matters including shareholder oppression, breach of contract, leasing disputes, intellectual property disputes and Australian Consumer Law. He has acted on behalf of a range of clients including ASX listed entities, SME’s, company directors, high net worth individuals and smaller private clients.

Gerard has experience managing large and complex disputes, and he strives to build strong relationships with his clients in order to develop a deep understanding of their businesses which allows him to approach all matters with a commercial mindset to achieve the best outcome for his clients.

Gerard currently holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne, in additional to a Bachelor of Business (Economics & Finance) (Honours) from RMIT.

Outside of work Gerard enjoys getting outdoors and playing a range of sports with his son, including rock climbing, soccer and, more recently, golf.
