Sibylle Krieger

Sibylle Krieger joined the Law Squared Advisory Board in 2022, bringing over 40 years of diverse commercial experience to support the firm’s growth.
With a long career as a commercial lawyer and six years as an economic regulator, Sibylle’s focus as a non-executive director has been on regulated industries and sectors undergoing rapid change.
With a background spanning professional services, infrastructure, energy and water, financial services and fintech, Sibylle’s particular expertise as an NED lies in corporate governance, stakeholder management, and in issues relating to people and organisational culture.
In 2016/17, Sibylle was part of the Energy Security Taskforce addressing energy shortages in Tasmania due to drought and the Basslink interconnector failure. All taskforce recommendations were accepted by the Tasmanian government.
Sibylle was a partner at two major law firms for 22 years and served for six years on the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART). She was a Director of AEMO (2013-2020) and prior to that was a member of the Dispute Resolution Panel for the National Electricity and gas markets. She is a Director of MyState Limited (ASX:MYS), Ventia Services Group Limited (ASX:VNT), and AEMO Services Limited (ASL). ASL plays a critical role in the energy transition roadmap in NSW and also supports the energy transition outside NSW. Finally, Sibylle is a member of the Investment Committee advising the Commonwealth Government in respect of its Capacity Investment Scheme.
She holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in law, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
