Tess is an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer and in-house specialist, with expertise across multiple industries and jurisdictions. Tess began her career in commercial litigation and spent several years in a highly regarded international firm in London and Amsterdam before transitioning to in-house roles following her return to Melbourne. She undertook short-term contacts in the Arts and Major Events sectors, before taking a permanent role with a leading global derivatives broker, where she quickly advanced to Regional Head of Legal.
In this senior position, Tess played a pivotal role in overseeing the company's legal affairs across multiple jurisdictions, including advising on general commercial matters, contract negotiation, advertising and marketing, financial services regulations, managing litigation, IP portfolios, and regulatory engagements.
Tess is passionate about helping businesses find practical legal solutions. With experience both as a short-term contractor within legal teams and in engaging short-term contractors into established legal teams, she offers an invaluable perspective on utilising outsourced legal services to support legal teams and businesses in achieving their objectives.
