Ronald brings nearly two decades of experience advising major Australian retailers on complex property and leasing matters, both in-house and in private practice.

As former Senior Legal Counsel at Strandbags Group, he led the legal work for a portfolio of more than 280 stores across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with property, retail operations, marketing and finance teams, he negotiated lease outcomes that supported store openings, managed occupancy costs and protected trading performance.

Earlier in his career, Ronald advised major retailers with portfolios exceeding 375 stores, building a strong understanding of the commercial priorities and operational challenges facing retail businesses.

Committed to giving back to the community, Ronald volunteered at Macquarie Legal Centre as a junior legal information and referral officer and volunteer solicitor, assisting disadvantaged clients from diverse backgrounds. He also served as Chairperson of the Centre’s Committee from 2004 to 2008, supporting its community legal services.

Outside his professional life, Ronald is a competitive volleyball player who has represented UTS, UNSW and other clubs in the Sydney Volleyball League, and Qantas Sydney in corporate games and inter-airline volleyball tournaments (overseas). He is also a qualified state-level coach and referee for both indoor and beach volleyball.
